Voted 4/5 | For a basic snowshoe these have worked perfect. They float fine on more consolidated snow but have a problem with fresh Utah powder. They are a little pricey but do come with a lifetime warranty. I have had problems trying to adjust the straps in the lower temperatures. The plastic quick snaps can also become stuffed with snow and make it hard to pick the snow out of the female end.

Voted 4/5 | These ARE some great basic shoes. The crampons grip well on steep slopes as well as side hills. The buckles haven't been a problem, but the straps are a bit long and the rubber loops that pin down the excess don't seem to hold very well. I just cut and melted the straps and now they're great. If you do this however, remember to make cuts while the straps are loose so the strap doesn't pull through the buckle when you take them off. | | Posted May 11, 2005 7:16 pm |
