Lightweight and compact, this 10-point crampon provides excellent traction for glacier travel and moderate alpine accents. Flexible latex antibott (included) sheets prevent snow build-up beneath the crampon
Chromoly steel construction is strong and durable; semi-flexible construction suitable for 3/4-shank boots
Shorter, less aggressive points are designed for easy use on moderate terrain
Classic binding system uses ZytelŪ toe piece and wrap-around straps for a solid and secure fit
Adjusts by hand without tools to fit a variety of boots and sizes; fits Euro boot size 35 - 46 Images |

Voted 4/5 | The introductory crampon that won't let you down.
The simplicty of this makes it hard to resist. Easily adjustable without any tools, and are simple to put on.
My only complaints
In some conditions it will ball up with snow (Now they include anti bot plates)
No where to place the straps after you put them on
Not recommend ice climbing or extreme mountaineering, they have comfortably gotten me through Rainier, Hood, Orizaba, and others.

Voted 4/5 | For 90% of the applications in the lower 48 States these crampons can't be beat. That's why they are the crampons that RMI recommends for their clients on Rainier. They are sticky enough to keep you on the mountain but not so sharp that you will injure yourself and shred your gear (particularly while you are leanring). | | Posted May 3, 2004 10:13 am | | Larry V | Untitled Review
Voted 4/5 | Pros
Easy to strap on and take off.
Fits practically any boot. One size fits all.
10 point design works well for small feet.
Points are not so sharp or long that they shred your other gear. If necessary, you can carry them in your backpack without covering the points.
Light weight.
Anti-bot plates are included.
Cons
For small feet, you have to fasten a screw (supplied) to shorten the strips.
The screw spoils the fit of the anti-bot plates. The plates must be modified. | | Posted Jul 3, 2004 9:04 pm | | TRADaROCKiss | My very 1st pair
Voted 4/5 | I love these crampons. Very easy to use (and fits boot well) for basic mountaineering. I have also thown them into my day pack without ripping a thing. I agree with all the comments already posted. | | Posted Jan 23, 2007 9:50 pm | | Dan Dalton | I really like these crampons...
Voted 5/5 | since they fit any boot. I use them a lot for colouir climbing where I don't want to have to wear my heavy duty Sportiva Mountaineering boots. Only thing I don't like is the back plastic which seems to be quite large and does not hug the boot very well. Great for an intro crampon.
