I've used these to secure my tent when high winds hit during winter camping outings. Bury them in the snow and when the snow solidifies, you've got a bomber anchor. Just be careful when digging the anchors out not to cut into them.

does what is says it does. I got a set for my REI half-dome 2HC tent. They worked very well in Colorado snow at ~10k feet.

I have no experience with these specific anchors, but I've used self-made snow anchors (quite similar to the one on the photo) without no complaints whatsoever. Pro's are evident and no extra $$$ spent either...
