Voted 5/5 | thought I'd add it here anyway since they're designed to carry/stow pro. Very light weight and work well with most ice screws I've hung off them. The 'nub' at the top makes hanging the ones (screws) you don't want, out of the way while you're grabbing the size you do want. Plastic. The BD L33 Speed pack has 4 slots for attaching these clippers to the waist belt, and the BD Predator pack has two ice clipper slots in its waisbelt...very cool! | | Posted Aug 4, 2007 9:02 pm | | tommi | useful

Voted 5/5 | even during the summer. Great for racking anything and really light. I like these a lot.

Voted 3/5 | These are very convenient for racking screws, but be careful if you plan to use them for holstering tools - I once had one break halfway through a rappel, dropping my tool into the (soft) snow below. Not catastrophic in this case, but imagine if that was three pitches up at a hanging belay ... now I use a biner to holster tools instead. | | Posted Aug 6, 2007 3:18 pm | | dug | Limited | | Voted 3/5 | They are limited in their functionality by inability to use under an alpine sized pack. In other words, on a big route in the mountains (multiday) they are not only useless but detrimental. Perhaps they better on a harness designed for them like the blizzard. | | Posted Aug 9, 2007 7:35 am | | Jeroen Vels | Great value for money
Hasn't voted | I own a pair of these and they go with me on any alpine climb. I use them for stacking screws, to holster an axe while rapelling, attach my camera, prusik, knife, gloves, anything really. | | Posted Dec 11, 2007 2:37 pm |
