The Petzl Hirundos is a ultralightweight harness for sports-climbing.

Harness for high level sport climbing.

* Freedom of movement: reduced surface areas on leg loops and waist belt.
* Practical:
o 2 rigid and inclined gear loops provide easy access to runners,
o 1 soft, flexible rear gear loop avoid pressure points created when using a back-pack,

o 3 loops for adding CARITOOL tool-carriers (P42),
o detachable elastic leg loop support straps.

* Comfortable:
o waist-belt made of breathable foam,
o leg loops made of dense foam for support.

* DoubleBack buckle on the waist belt provides simple, rapid closure.

I love this harness. Nice, simple, no-frills, easy one-pull tighting system. A bit uncomfortable during long hanging belays, but hey, this is the trade-off for the weight. I use if for everything, even alpine/ice climbing. I do not need releasable leg loops, these are unnessary with pre-planning.
One of the few pieces I am 100% satisfied with.
