Product DescriptionThe straight shaft version of the BD X-15 ice tool works great for alpine routes, some low grade mixed and waterfall ice up to WI3 or 4. They are made up of aluminum and come with a variety of picks: Classic, Alaska, Laser which can be interchanged easily via one hexnut without having to use tools. Just use the blade from one to unscrew the others hex-nut!

Voted 2/5 | I've used mine on WI3 and steep snow so far and they work pretty well. I had a bit of trouble climbing ice over buldges, since the shafts are straight (knuckles hit ice), but on pure vert they work fine.
