I have had a pair of these for several years and they have covered a lot of snow, ice and rock. They have held up well. Quick on and off. Easy to tighten along the ascent/descent. A very good beginners crampon.

A good pair of crampons for general mountaineering. They're fairly sharp and easy on/off. Make sure to use stiff shoes. Work best with boots that don't curve up. If you use oversize boots then they could pull out easily, especially if front-pointing. But then most regular strap-on crampons will.

general snow climbs. Fit all kinds of footwear and grip well. While I've since progressed into vert ice climbing, i wouldn't use these for that. They flex too much and don't have aggressive enough front points. However, for general purpose snow climbing on moderate grade slopes, they're fine.

standard ice. Don't try any funny business like climbing in them. It helps to have a boot with a steel rand that covers 3/4 the length. Any less and you might feel real unstable.
