Product Description

Nothing feels better, in the tropics, once you’ve actually made it through the harder, hotter part of the day, than throwing off clothes, standing in a barely warm, salt-free shower, then changing into nylon clothing.

The British are geniuses at this.

Their idea of fun is 1) flying a small cargo plane over the tops of mountains, the oxygen supply not quite keeping up with human demands, 2) landing in a field thick with sword grass, 3) walking the last few miles in silence, sweating like a beast, 4) upon reaching camp, you bathe, changing into crisp fresh nylons, and, finally, 5) standing on a verandah for the rest of the night, drinking gin and saying truly funny things.

For such moments as this, these are the nylons to wear. Impeccably made nylon pants that are neither too long, nor too short. Exactly what’s needed to propel everyone’s spirits, including yours, upwards.

Meridian Convertable Pant, in substantial abrasion resistant nylon. Plain front. Angled side pockets, one with inner coin pocket. Welted back pockets. Cell pocket. Suspender buttons, alterable waistband, and other spiffy adventure pants details.

jfoxOutstanding!

Voted 5/5

This is a really versatile pair of climbing, hiking, summer mountaineering pants. I have used mine extensively climbing rock and hiking/backpacking through Dinosaur National Monumnet Colorado. They have stood up to sliding on abrasive sandstone and snags on cacti and thorns w/o ripping. Upon multiple river crossings, they dry out almost immediately and are really light weight even when wet. They have plenty of pockets and storage for many items and best of all, they zip off into shorts when the mercury really soars!
