Product Description

This book's title always brings a laugh, but it's not a joke - it's really a great little book about, um, shall we say proper and lnt hygiene in the wilderness. As the front cover says, it is "an environmentally sound approach to a lost art." The chapters cover everything from digging a proper hole, tp alternatives, water filters, to special considerations for women in regards to hygiene.

tarolGreat book

Voted 5/5

It approaches the subject with humor but also gives some good solid information, especially in regards to Leave No Trace.

I bought this because anybody that titles their book "How to Shit in the Woods" deserves to make money off of it. It was entertaining reading with some good pointers as well. It offers women some advice on making it easier, whereas guys have the obvious advantage for #1.

"I am in love with this world. I have nestled lovingly in it. I have climbed its mountains, roamed its forests, sailed its waters, crossed its deserts, felt the sting of its frosts, the oppression of its heats, the drench of its rains, the fury of its winds, and always have beauty and joy waited upon my goings and comings."   --John Burroughs
