In my opinion

Four days in the North Cascades, WA. ,I put these new boots through the works. I wore them to work for a few weeks prior, but I don’t believe they needed it. From miles of trail approach to more miles of loose granite talus, steep mud, snow, ice, and rock! Ending result: no blisters, no soreness, excellent friction on rock, light, flexible, breathable, waterproof, felt great in crampons, fit well on my narrow feet. I think this boot is a good rival for La Sportiva's Trango. A little heavier, but a littler tougher I think.

96avs01Great summer boot

Voted 5/5

The Triolet have performed great for me thus far. My first day in the boots I put on 18 miles and didn't find a single hotspot. They are a great summer boot where you likely need to approach, cross snow, and then scramble/climb. I would not recommend them for duty other than in summer as they are not insulated. I fully expect them to be more durable that the Trango given the full leather lower.
