Product Description

Forged aluminum rap ring for bail-outs and rap stations. Anodized gray for minimal visual impact. Solid construction (not hollow) for 20kN minimum breaking strength (over 4400lbs)! Not intended for repeated lowering.

Features

This device is NOT designed to be used as a rappel or belay device (e.g. ATC, SBGII, Figure-8 or any other friction device). It is intended solely as a hardware alternative to bail-out slings, webbing and cord.

Bomber piece of gear for raps. Very lightweight alternative to steel rap rings if you're gonna carry a bunch of them. I like the fact that they are one piece w/o a welded seam that may/could fail.

I really like the lightness of these guys, but they are pricey compared with the screw-type rapid link. And of course, being seamless, once you've water knotted your webbing, you can't just clip them in as with the screw links.
