Voted 5/5 | This is a great shovel for backcountry use. I have only used mine briefly, but it has worked well in the construction of snow caves and levelling platforms for tents when winter camping. The shovel packs really well on even a small pack since the handle can be completely removed. Hasn't voted | I really like my Transfer 7. It is large and sturdy enough to remove serious amounts of snow. It's not to heavy and fits well in my pack when the handle is removed.
