Voted 5/5 | I love all the Motorola radios and will not buy anything eltse. The radio is very strong and ready for abuse. The voice is very clear and the distance is good I wouldn't say seven miles unless you had perfect conditions and a perfect line of sight with out any obstructions. But a mile is a good distance and you can get a good transmission in that range. Thees are great for convoying down the freeway and you will have plenty of privacy because of all the channel options. If you get them for less than $80.00 your getting a deal but don't be supprised to get them for $65.00 that is a steal. | | Posted Jan 6, 2006 9:34 am | | m2rainier | Untitled Review | |
Voted 4/5 | This radio has a good range, although I have never seen it come close to 7 miles let alone half that. The vox features are cool sounding but very tricky to get to work properly. The voice activation has a delay and then often sounds muffled. They are tough and take a lot of abuse. | | Posted Jan 12, 2006 6:42 am |
