The Tempest SL Windshirt is lightweight and provides a balanced blend of breathability and protection. It excels in moisture rich situations like jogging in the morning fog, biking in a drizzle or touring in light snow. Or use it as part of your layering system as Twight suggests.
Features:
The ripstop nylon/Conduit SL™ laminated shell provides water resistance and total wind protection while still being highly breathable.
The Vapor-Therm lining transfers moisture away from the body to help you stay dry.
It has a high zip collar for protection and a Napoleon stow pocket for keeping small items handy.

Voted 4/5 | I recently tested mine while climbing in Mexico. I used it as a second layer over my long underwear top. Often it was the outerlayer also when not climbing.
It helped keep me warm when the wind blew and easily wicked moisture when I was climbing hard in the sun.
My only complaint is the length of the jacket. Another inch or two would be nice to help keep it tucked in. | | Posted Feb 2, 2005 2:16 pm | | josephgdawson | Untitled Review | |
Voted 4/5 | I have been using one of these for a year. I take it both climbing and peakbagging because for its size and weight it provides more warmth than anything else I own. My only complaint is that it is not water resistant at all. | | Posted Mar 23, 2005 7:13 pm |
